What should I do if I have forgotten my 2FA PIN?
Answer
Go to sign in page and enter your user name and password and then use the 'Forgotten your PIN?' option.
Background
A single-use code that is generated via either a software token on your mobile phone or a physical hardware token is used with a 4 digit PIN that is known to you. You will have set your own PIN when you configured the two-factor authentication on your account. For security reasons, if you forget your PIN, your two-factor will be disabled so that you can set up your two-factor authentication again and set up your new PIN. You should not share your PIN with anyone and it should not be kept it with your software or hardware token.
Steps
- Go to Sign in page and enter your user name and password
- Use the 'Forgotten your PIN?' option
- Complete the Contact form stating that you have forgotten your PIN
- You will be notified once your two-factor authentication has been disabled
- Sign in the platform using your username and password and go to your user name at the top right of your Dashboard
- Follow the instructions on the ‘How do I configure two-factor authentication’ to re-enable your two-factor and set up a new PIN
